Philosophy: Expressing the richness of a unique terroir in an elegant and complex wine.
Origin: Grapes from a single plot, over 100 years old, on schist soils and at an altitude of 450m.
Grape Varieties: Old vines in Guyot, Field Blend with predominance of traditional Douro grape varieties.
Vinification: Manual harvest in boxes of 20 kg. Reception with total destemming. Fermentation conducted with indigenous yeasts iat controlled temperature, in order to obtain a slow fermentation with high extraction.
Stage: 500 liter French oak barrels for 12 months.
Bottling Date: March 2023.
Tasting Note: Translucent bright ruby color, with the harvest year not allowing too much color extraction. Aroma of wild fruits, currants, black plums surrounded by a combination led by vanilla. Notes of freshness, indicative of mint and pine appear in a second instance after airing in a decanter. In the mouth, complex and balanced with well-integrated barrel, notable structure with silky tannins, fresh and very long finish.
